Meet Me

A filmmaker and artist, confronting aging and desire as a gay man, becomes increasingly drawn to the story of Jack Saul, a young 19th-century escort whose life briefly threatened to expose the hidden world of Victorian London.

As anonymous calls from an unseen figure on a dating app begin to draw the filmmaker into a series of uncertain encounters, he sets out to give Saul a presence that history has denied him, painting a portrait of a man for whom no image exists, using himself as a model for the older aristocrat who first recruited him. With each dangerous encounter he can add more detail.  As the painting develops, past and present begin to blur, and the search for Saul becomes inseparable from his own.
